I bring a unique combination of qualifications to this work: a systems thinker with a thorough understanding of the educational system; many years of experience as a teacher, trainer, presenter, and group facilitator; and a wide range of skills in the use of information technology and online group tools.

Over the years, my work has increasingly centered on the formal process of continuous school improvement, and specifically in the use of web-based communication and content management to make school improvement more efficient, continuous, dynamic, job-embedded, and inclusive.

I have developed a set of practices that can be used to help individual schools or whole school systems employ continuous school improvement as an engine for transformation. The focus is on building capacity for collaborative inquiry, developing efficacy to counter the disempowering effects of high-stakes testing, creating a culture of innovation, and embracing "disruptive" technologies.  The long-term goal is to push beyond the boundaries and limits of the mass-production model to develop a system of self-organizing schools that truly address the needs of each and every learner.
